OPEN LATE MAY TO MID-OCTOBER

     In Southwest Harbor, on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park, six individually designed cottages located on five acres in the woods above the village.  Rustic, spacious and convenient - a five minute walk to shops, post office, library, restaurants, public playground and
Island Explorer bus stop.*  The property is accessed by a private, gravel lane with no through traffic.
    These single-frame cottages each accommodate up to six people.  We supply the sheets, towels, blankets and pillows.  A pac'n'play is available upon request.  The bathrooms have hot and cold running water, bathtubs and showers and electric baseboard heat.  Living/kitchen/dining areas are heated with wood stoves.  We supply the firewood.  Kitchens include a refrigerator and electric range as well as a coffee maker and toaster, pots and pans, cooking utensils and dishes.  There is a gas grill on each deck.
     A shared picnic area between the Jay and A-Frame Cottages includes a fire pit with seating, picnic tables, running water and a propane grill.

*The Island Explorer is not serving Southwest Harbor in 2021.
